On January 8, Chen Hui, Secretary-General of China Society for Futures Studies, and his team visited the Secretariat Office of ZGC Global High-Level Think Tank Alliance (hereinafter referred to as the "Think Tank Alliance") for exchanges and discussions. Li Junkai, Secretary-General of the Think Tank Alliance and Director of the Center for International and Regional Cooperation of the BJAST (Beijing Academy of Science and Technology), presided over the meeting.
Li Junkai welcomed the visit of the team from China Society for Futures Studies. She also introduced the relevant information of the Think Tank Alliance. Chen Hui introduced the history, purpose, tasks and key work of China Society for Futures Studies. The Society is an association directly affiliated to China Association for Science and Technology, which was established in Beijing on January 16, 1979. Famous experts and scholars such as Qian Xuesen, Tong Dalin, Mao Yisheng have successively served as consultants of Chinese Society for Futures Studies. As a highly influential organization in the field of future research, Chinese Society for Futures Studies has made fruitful achievements in trend prediction of science and technology, social development prospects, strategic planning of innovation, etc. It brings together experts in many fields, provides forward-looking research and decision-making support for national and local development for a long time, and has rich practical experience in interdisciplinary research and cross-field cooperation. The society is committed to becoming a key bond, which connects academic theories with the actual demands of society, and promoting the process of sustainable social and economic development.
The two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on cooperation in organizing activities, jointly applying for projects, promoting resource sharing, etc., and they are initially willing to sign a memorandum of cooperation. The discussion effectively enhanced mutual trust and understanding between the two sides, explored many cooperation opportunities successfully, and laid a solid foundation for subsequent cooperation.
Yin Lingqing, former Level II Bureau Rank Official of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, Tang Xifang, Vice President of the talent evaluation and scientific and technological innovation branch of Chinese Society for Futures Studies and the Professional Committee of Belt and Road, Mei Yu, Director of the Industrial Innovation Working Committee, and relevant backbones of the Secretariat Office of the Think Tank Alliance participated in the discussions and exchanges.
